Hello, this is President Yasui, a solo entrepreneur running a company that mainly inspects high-pressure gas equipment.
The person in charge at the vaporizer manufacturer I work with is incredibly efficient. Despite handling many projects, they mentioned how they use AI to save as much time as possible. I don't think it's just because they're young. It's important to keep that willingness to embrace new things, no matter your age.
Yesterday, I attended the JLPA general meeting. I had the opportunity to greet Ms. Erisa Tanaka, the new director from Kagura Vapotech.
When I say that the city is sophisticated, I don’t mean it’s because of redevelopment or tall buildings—though those are impressive too (haha).
What struck me was the pace of time—it flows faster there than it does in regional areas like where I live. There's a distinct sense of speed. Everyone seems to be surviving in this fast-moving environment. If you hesitate, you'll be left behind; people are likely to nudge you forward with "Is it done yet?" impatience.
Nagoya doesn’t have that same intensity. Living in such a refined society feels... harsh. That was my impression.
After the general meeting and social gathering, I went all the way to Kanda to eat curry. Kanda is known for its curry, and I visited a place called “Delicious Collection Kanda Club,” which had won awards at the local Curry Grand Prix.
I ordered the green curry. The aroma of spices, the mildly spicy roux, and the crispy fried vegetables on top of the rice made for a delightful texture. The salad dressing had a soft strawberry fragrance and a sweet-tart flavor—very elegant.
The atmosphere, the storefront, and the service—everything was polished.
The curry tasted great, but the overall experience, including the ambiance, left me thoroughly satisfied.
Of course, personal preferences come into play, but with high rent in the city, maintaining a place like that must require real skill and popularity. The fact that it continues to thrive says a lot about its quality.
Tokyo, with its mix of exhausting hustle and relaxing oasis-like spots, feels like a truly sophisticated city.
Every once in a while, I want to break away from the routine and feel that refreshing stimulation. I think I'll make a point to visit Tokyo at least once a year.
See you again!
