Hello, this is President Yasui. I run a solo business that mainly inspects high-pressure gas facilities.
In the end, my iPhone didn’t recover. It kept intermittently failing to read the SIM card, and eventually stopped working during the day. So, I went to the nearest GEO store from the job site and bought a used iPhone 13 mini displayed in the window.
Since then, Apple hasn’t released another small-sized iPhone in the numbered series, but the way this size fits in your hand is just outstanding. I really hope they re-release it, preferably with Pro specs.
What does it take to achieve success?
I believe, simply, it's about not losing to yourself.
When an opportunity comes your way, you might get scared, make excuses, delay decisions, or convince yourself that "now isn’t the time."
What about success in terms of achieving results? Let’s take dieting, for example.
To achieve the result of losing weight, how should you approach it? What kind of personality do you have? Where did you give up or slack off in past attempts?
Reflecting on these questions might bring you one step closer to success.
What about this blog?
I skipped posting the day before yesterday and yesterday. If I skipped today as well, that would be three days in a row. Would I rub my sleepy eyes and write, or just say “whatever” and go to sleep?
Today, I managed to sit at my desk and open my MacBook Air. I had to get it done.
It’s the same with strength training or any habit—it’s very easy to make excuses and skip it.
But if you want results, you can't keep losing that internal battle.
It's okay to lose occasionally, but continuously losing is the real issue.
Because it’s a promise with yourself, it’s easy to break. And the only one affected is you—no one else is harmed if you slack off.
But even if it’s a promise with yourself, a promise is a promise.
Breaking that promise gradually lowers your self-esteem. You lose confidence, and begin to think, “Nothing I do will work anyway.”
Only a rare few can win every single day—those are the ultra-elite.
But we ordinary people need to build success through small wins.
Without steady effort, there’s no way we can suddenly achieve huge success.
Don’t lose to yourself. Don’t keep losing to yourself.
If you do that, the day when you achieve the results you’re hoping for might come sooner than you think.
See you again!
