仕事ができる、できないはどのように区別されるのでしょうか？
スピーディーか？
正確か？
意図を汲み取れるか？
コミュニケーションが取れるか？
その時々によって求められるものが変わるわけですが、その時々をしっかりと見極めることができて、自分の持つ能力を如何なく発揮できるかが大切だと思います。
仕事できないおじさんというのは、たとえば新人がやるような雑務を入社２０年超のおじさんがやっている、若い頃にやっていた業務をいまだにやり続けているなど、若い頃から仕事に変化のない、年相応の業務を会社から与えられていない人があてはまると思います。
上司に聞かないとある程度の判断すら、まともに下せない。
若い頃ならまだしも、４０、５０にもなるいわゆるおじさんになってそういう人間でしかないと、虚しく思えて仕方ありません。
結局、仕事や業務をその場限りでこなすものとして考えていると、変化する場面で以前の経験が活かせなくなってきます。
目の前の出来事をどういう事象で起こっているのかを考えることで、物事の本質が見えてくるものです。
私はアラフォーです。
残念ながら？雑務もやりますし、荷物や道具の準備や積み込みも自ら行なっています。（1人しかいないからね）
さすがに誰かのいうがままに仕事をしているということはありません。
判断を仰ぐ、指示を仰ぐということは作業の中でありますが、考える癖をつけてきたせいか、その作業でもなるべく良い方法で進められればということをいつも考えて取り組んでいるつもりです。
年を重ねても２０代の頃と同じ業務しかしていない、という人生は避けたいと思いませんか？
仕事できないおじさんになるということは、将来的に虚しさを感じさせると思います。
今はまだ実感がないから分かりづらいかもしれませんが、５０、６０になり終わりが見えてくると自分の仕事人生を何気なく振り返った時に耐え難い苦痛を感じることでしょう。
そうなることは避けたい。
少しでもビジネスマンになりましょう。
そのための勉強をすることは今からでも遅くはないでしょう。
私たちの未来を少しでも実りあるものにしていきましょう！

How do we distinguish between people who are good at their jobs and those who aren't?
Is it about speed? Accuracy?
Can they understand intent? Communicate well?
The demands change depending on the situation, but what’s crucial is being able to accurately assess those moments and apply your skills to the fullest.
The so-called "incompetent old guy" at work refers to someone who, even after 20+ years at a company, still handles minor tasks that are typically done by new recruits, or someone who continues doing the same tasks they did when they were young. In essence, they haven’t adapted or taken on responsibilities suited to their age or experience.
They can’t make even basic decisions without consulting their boss. While that’s understandable when you're younger, by the time you're in your 40s or 50s, it's disheartening to be in such a position.
If you treat work as just something to get through at the moment, you’ll find that you can't apply your past experiences to new situations as things change.
By thinking about why certain events happen, you start to see the bigger picture and the core of the situation.
I’m in my 40s. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), I still handle minor tasks, and I personally prepare and load equipment (since it's just me!).
That said, I don’t just mindlessly follow orders. While I may need guidance or instructions for some tasks, I’ve developed a habit of always thinking about how to approach the work in the best way possible.
Don’t you want to avoid a life where, even as you age, you're still doing the same tasks as when you were in your 20s?
Becoming the "incompetent old guy" at work will only lead to a sense of emptiness down the line. It may be hard to understand now, but when you're in your 50s or 60s, nearing the end of your career, you may look back on your working life and feel an unbearable sense of regret.
I certainly want to avoid that.
Let’s work towards becoming better businesspeople, and it's never too late to start learning!
