閑散期を生き延びる Surviving the Off-Peak Season

検査業界の閑散期は１〜３月と昔から言われています。

大手さんなど一部例外もあるようで、そういう会社さんは年中繁忙も閑散もないようですね。

どの業種でも閑散期と繁忙期の認識ができれば一人前と思います。

閑散期に頑張ってもそもそもアプローチできる対象がいないわけですから、そこで頑張っても仕方ないです。

だから種まきの時期としてこういう時間を活用しましょう。

でないと、繁忙期の忙しさがうらやましくなって精神的に耐えられなくなることもあります。

（僕だけかもしれませんが！）

半分ニートのような生活ですが、自由な時間ができると人間、何もできないものですね。

忙しい時は、もっと時間があればいいのに！！！とか１日が４８時間ならいいのに！！！とか思ったり思わなかったりするし、こういう時の１時間、２時間の可処分時間の過ごし方の方が凝縮された果汁のように濃密で濃厚な味になります。

忙しさに毒されてしまった僕は、自由な時間をとても無駄にすごしているのかもしれません。

違うな。無駄と思うことがそもそもおかしいかもしれません。

アイデアを考えたり、事業を進めたりしているのですが、そればかりやれてるわけでもないので。

のんびり、どっしりと構えて生きていきたいですね。

人生には波があるので、よくない潮の流れもあれば、いい潮目の時もあります。

いい潮目の時にしっかりとのっていく。

研鑽して諦めずに生きていればそういう時期がやってきます。

そういうものです、人生は。

人生はとにかく長いですから、走ったり歩いたり止まったり繰り返していくものだと思います。

The inspection industry's off-season is said to be from January to March, as it has been for a long time.

There are exceptions, such as major companies, where they seem to have no off-season and are busy all year round.

I think anyone in any industry who can recognize the off-season and busy season is considered experienced.

There's no point in working hard during the off-season when there are no prospects to approach in the first place.

So let's use this time as a sowing period.

Otherwise, you might find yourself envying the busyness of the busy season and becoming mentally overwhelmed. (Maybe it's just me!)

It's almost like living a semi-NEET life, but when you have free time, humans can't seem to do anything.

During busy times, you think, "If only I had more time!!!" or "If only the day was 48 hours long!!!" and sometimes you don't, but how you spend these one or two hours of disposable time during such times becomes as condensed and rich as concentrated juice.

Having been poisoned by busyness, I may be spending my free time quite wastefully.

Wait, maybe thinking of it as wasteful is strange in itself.

While I'm thinking of ideas and advancing my business, I'm not just doing that.

I want to live calmly and steadily.

Life has its ups and downs, so there are times of bad currents as well as good tides.

Ride the good tides firmly when they come.

If you continue to train and live without giving up, such times will come.

That's life.

Life is long, so I think it's about running, walking, stopping, and repeating.

100歳まで生きたい?　日本人は後ろ向き　幸福度も低く　民間調査

人生１００年時代を生きる僕たち

今や世界中で人生１００年時代と言われています。

そんな時代を迎える中で、１００歳まで生きたいですか？という質問をしたようです。

100歳までの人生について「大変そう」「迷惑をかけたくない」との否定的な回答の割合は、各国で顕著な差はなかった。一方、日本では「幸せそうに見える」「チャンスが増える」といった前向きな回答の割合が各国より低かった。経済成長など未来への期待についても、日本は否定的な回答が目立った。

ということでした。

日本で暮らしていると将来の明るさが見えないというのはなんとも貧しい国になってしまったなぁ、と感じてしまいますね。

私も今から６０年後の未来の姿を問われればどんよりとした灰色の空をイメージしてしまいます。

未来が明るい見通しで見えないということは２０代３０代の若い世代が家庭を持ち子供を作るということを想像することが難しいということに繋がりますよね。

今の時代は物も娯楽も多いですからとにかく出費がかかります。家庭を持ち、子供を授かれば夫婦共働きが一時的に止まってしまいます。

収入が一本化するとどうなるか？は想像に難くないと思います。

苦しくなるのは目に見えています。
家庭を持ち子供を産み育てることに臆病になります。

日本が平成の３０年で失ってしまったものは相当大きいようです。

幸せはどこへ？

キラキラしたどこかの誰かの生活をSNSで目の当たりにして、目の前に広がる現実世界との差は歴然です。
そのキラキラした世界が何かハリボテのような作り物であるかどうかはわからない。
それでも気になってしまいます。

自分の哲学をおいて、自分もキラキラしたい、俺はこんなところで何をしているのか？と煽られて自分が本当に求めていないものを求めて苦しくなってしまいます。

自分のSNSを見ればキラキラしている。
しかし自らの眼球の前にある日常はそうではない。

だからまた出かけていく。
映え続ける必要がある。
２つのギャップに耐える必要がある。

それの何が幸せなのでしょうか？

見栄をはり、現実を取り繕っていく。
自分のために時間やお金を使うことができない。
そうしたことに疲れているのかもしれません。

真実は語らない、すべては語らない。
現実はそのようなばかりと思います。

こうしたことが日本だけでなく、世界中で同じようなことが起きているのでしょう。

SNSは悪いことばかりでなくいい面もありますよね。

知らないことを知れるというのはSNSの素晴らしいところだと思います。
背伸びをせず、等身大の自分が表現できればそれでいいとは思います。

I came across an interesting article recently. It discussed whether Japanese people want to live to be 100 years old.

Living in the era of the 100-year life

Around the world, we are now living in what is called the "100-year life" era. In such times, the question arises: Do you want to live to be 100 years old?

Regarding life up to 100 years old, there was no significant difference in the negative responses such as "seems tough" or "don't want to burden others" among different countries. However, in Japan, the percentage of positive responses such as "seems happy" or "more opportunities arise" was lower than in other countries. Also, when asked about expectations for the future like economic growth, Japan had a notable number of negative responses.

It makes me feel as if living in Japan means not seeing a bright future. It feels like the country has become impoverished.

Even if I were asked about the future 60 years from now, I would imagine a gloomy, gray sky.

Not being able to see a bright future leads to difficulties in imagining younger generations in their 20s and 30s starting families and having children. 

In today's society, there are many expenses due to the abundance of goods and entertainment. Once you start a family and have children, temporarily stopping both spouses from working is common. 

What happens when income becomes consolidated? It's not hard to imagine the difficulties.

It's clear that there will be struggles.

This leads to hesitance in starting a family and having children.

Japan seems to have lost a lot in the past 30 years of the Heisei era.

Where is happiness?

Looking at someone else's sparkling life on social media and comparing it to the harsh reality in front of us reveals a stark difference. Even though that sparkling world might be like a façade or a constructed reality, we can't help but be intrigued by it.

Ignoring our own philosophies, we might yearn for that sparkle ourselves. We may question ourselves, "What am I doing in this situation?" and seek things we may not truly desire, leading to inner turmoil.

Looking at my own social media, it seems glittery.

But the everyday reality in front of my eyes is far from it.

So, I venture out again.

There's a need to keep up the sparkle.

There's a need to endure the gap between these two realities.

But what is happiness in all of this?

Putting up a front, masking reality.

Not being able to spend time or money on oneself.

Perhaps we are tired of such things.

The truth remains unspoken, unshared.

I believe reality is just that.

These issues are not limited to Japan but are happening worldwide.

Social media isn't all bad; it has its positives too.

The ability to learn about things you didn't know is one of the wonderful aspects of social media. I think it's great if you can express your real self without trying too hard to fit in.

Are you pushing yourself too hard？

不自由さが視覚化されにくい不自由人 The Difficulty of Visualizing Inconvenience for the Inconvenient

自由だと思える人が不自由に縛られている。

そんなことを感じました。

経済的余裕がある人でも不自由な生き方をしていることがあります。

スポーツ選手や芸能人などはまさにそうで、打席でヒットを打ってこそ。歌手であれば歌が売れていればこそ。

ヒットを打てなければ明日はない。

本当に厳しい世界です。

だから、不自由なんですよね。

好きで好きでたまらないという人はあまりいないのではないでしょうか。

たまたま得意だったとかそれを続けていたからなどと、子供の頃から寝食を意忘れてやってきたわけですから、それをやめるという選択をすることは相当難しいことなのですよね。

それは年末の特番で放送されている戦力外通告のドキュメンタリーを見ていても思います。

もし心から野球が好きで好きでたまらなくても自分の意思だけで続けることを選ぶことは叶わないのです。

ルールに守られているとはいえ、年棒の浮き沈みも激しいです。

結婚して、子供が2人くらいいて、そういう時に冷徹な通告は受けてしまうものなのです。

大きな怪我をしてもダメ、軽度の怪我が多くてもダメ、もちろん勝負に弱くてはダメです。

人からの評価を得続けることは尋常でないことがわかりますね。

家族を支えなければいけない、でも野球がやりたい。俺の野球で家族を支えられれば最高なんだが。。。

というこの状況でのこの心情は本物だと思います。

いや、もしかしたら終わりが近づいているからこそ、野球が好きであったことに気づくのかもしれませんね。

好きなことで稼げることにもっと早く気づけたら違った結果が得られたかもしれません。

とはいうものの枝分かれの道なのでそれは誰にもわかりません。

いざお別れの時が自分に知覚できた時に、我に帰り冷静になり、自分とその物事に対する考え方であったり本質が見えてくるのかもしれませんね。

自分の正直な気持ちに向き合う。

そのために今目の前にあるものに向き合ってみる。

自分の好きなことが見えてくるかもしれませんね。

I've felt that even those who seem free are sometimes bound by inconvenience.

Even people with economic stability may lead constrained lives.

This is especially true for athletes and entertainers; their existence is often tied to their performance, whether hitting home runs on the field or selling albums as singers.

Without hitting those marks, there might not be a tomorrow. It's truly a harsh world.

So, they are not entirely free, are they? Few are those who truly love what they do.

From childhood, they may have excelled or continued because of familiarity. Giving up that path is incredibly challenging.

I see this even in documentaries aired during year-end specials about athletes being released from teams.

Even if they deeply love the game, they cannot continue solely on their passion. Despite the structure and rules, the unpredictability of salaries is severe.

Imagine being married with a couple of kids and receiving such a callous dismissal.

Even with major injuries or recurring minor ones, or worse, a poor performance record, they cannot stay.

The pressure to maintain public approval is beyond normal.

"I need to support my family, but I also want to play baseball. It would be perfect if I could support my family through baseball..." This sentiment in such a situation is genuine.

Or perhaps, it's only as the end approaches that one truly realizes their love for the game.

If only they had realized sooner that they could make a living doing what they love, maybe things would have turned out differently. But life offers no guarantees on divergent paths.

When facing the moment of parting, one returns to oneself, becomes calm, and gains clarity about their beliefs and the essence of things.

Confront your true feelings.

Look closely at what's in front of you right now.

You might start to see what you truly love.

Let's give it a try.

自分の実力を図り間違えないこと でも一流を知ることは大切 Measuring Your Abilities Without Error: Valuing Insight from the Best

俺にもやれるんじゃないか？？

って思うことはありますか？

本を読んだり、セミナーへ行ったり、人と接していると、大きなチャレンジに対して俺にもやれるかもしれない。と思うことがあります。

自分に実力があって思う人もいれば、自己効力感が強くてそこからやれると思うこともあります。

でも、図り間違えないことが大切だと思います。

自分の今までの経験から、スタートダッシュはすごいけど尻すぼみになることがわかっているのであれば、本当にゴールなどある一定のところまでやりきれるかどうか自分にあらためて問いかけてみるのはどうでしょうか。

私でいうところの、多くの人を雇って大きくしていくというのは僕の実力以上のことになるな、という考えですね。

超越することが出来ない部分は誰しもにありますよね。

大谷翔平選手のマンダラシートを使っても、あれほどすごい野球選手になれるわけではありませんし、同様に同じメニューをこなしても同じ実力に慣れるかどうかはわかりません。

だからといてこのまま何も変えることができないわけではなく、意識は高く持つことはとても大切なことだと思います。

あれほどの選手にはなれないとしても、どのような考えや生活をして過ごしているのかは非常に重要な情報ですし、大谷選手のようになりたいのであれば、少なくとも同じように日々物事を考えて、思考をトレースして、なにかあるときに大谷選手ならこう判断すると思う、と自分の魂に憑依させるようなことはしていく必要はあると思います。

自分を見つめ直して、自分の考え方とどう違うのか、自分のいい部分はどこか、そういうことを知っていくことも大切です。

さっさと成長したいと思い、背伸びをしすぎると辛くなります。

上を見ながら少しずつ伸びて引き伸ばしていくことが自分を活かしながら幸せに過ごしていけると感じています。

Do you ever think to yourself, "Can I do it too?"

When reading books, attending seminars, or interacting with people, there are moments when we think we might be able to tackle significant challenges.

Some people believe they have the capability, while others feel empowered by their self-efficacy.

However, I think it's crucial not to miscalculate.

If you know from your past experiences that while you can start strong, you tend to lose momentum later, it might be worth questioning yourself about whether you can truly carry through to a specific goal.

For instance, in my case, I understand that expanding and hiring many people is beyond my current capabilities.

Everyone has areas where they cannot transcend.

Even if you use Shohei Ohtani's mandala sheet, it doesn't mean you'll become as incredible a baseball player as he is. Similarly, just doing the same routine doesn't guarantee you'll develop the same level of skill.

That said, it doesn't mean you can't change anything; maintaining a high level of consciousness is essential.

Understanding how such remarkable individuals think and live is crucial information. If you aspire to be like them, you need to at least think about things daily, trace your thoughts, and imagine how they would handle situations to align yourself with that mindset.

It's important to reexamine yourself, understand the differences in your thinking, identify your strengths. 

If you try to grow too fast or stretch yourself too thin, it can become challenging. I believe that growing gradually while aiming high and pulling yourself up bit by bit is a way to live happily while making the most of your potential.

突然ですが、クラウドファンディングで応援したことありますか？

今の世の中、共感の世界と言われていますよね。

今に始まったことでなく昔からずっとそのような世界で行きている人たちがいると思います。

誰かに共感してもらい応援してもらったり、共感して応援したり。

クラウドファンディングなどはまさにこのような世界ですよね。

自分のことを発信して、共感してくれる人といっしょに進んでいく。

SNS全盛の時代に僕たちは生きています。

情報を発信しやすくなりましたよね。

ブログのように比較的長い文章を考えて打ち込む！ということもなく、スマホでポチポチとするだけで世界中に情報を発信できる。

すごいですよね。

僕も応援されながら生きていると思います。

お客様にリピートしていただけると何よりも嬉しい。

そういった部分で僕は承認欲求を満たしていただけているのだと思います。

 "Never Giving Up, Never Giving In, Never Running Away"

The title is like a song, isn't it? (laughs)

Let me ask you suddenly, have you ever supported someone through crowdfunding?

In today's world, we often hear about the world of empathy. It's not something new; there have always been people living in such a world.

Receiving empathy and support from others, as well as empathizing and supporting others ourselves.

Crowdfunding is precisely such a world, isn't it? Sharing about oneself and moving forward with people who empathize and support.

We are living in the era of social media dominance.

It has become easier to share information, hasn't it? Unlike composing relatively long articles for blogs, now we can share information worldwide with just a few taps on our smartphones. It's amazing, isn't it?

I also feel that I am living with support. There's nothing more gratifying than having repeat customers.

In these aspects, I believe my need for approval is being fulfilled.

However, it's not enough to just receive support; I also want to support others.

There are many people around us whom we want to support—people who are working hard, people who support us in our endeavors.

Isn't it true that there are many people around us whom we want to support?

Not just family but also colleagues, neighbors, people we've met outside of work and home, friends.

Supporting others makes us feel refreshed.

It's quite magical.

When you receive support, you can keep going.

It gives you strength.

You can give it to others.

I hope that the people around me can walk towards a brighter future, even if it's just a little bit.

覚え方にはその人に合った覚え方がある Personalized Learning: Finding the Right Memorization Techniques

今日はカグラベーパーテック製ベーパーライザーの開放検査で三重県にきています。

２基同時開放ですので、ガスプラントさんに手伝っていただいています。

開放検査やオンサイトメンテナンスでミニマムバルブを現地にて分解整備する機会が増えてきています。

手順を覚えるのもとても大切ですが、構造や仕組みを理解することで間違いをなくしたり、時短につなげたりできると思います。

先日の技術研修会でミニマムバルブのカットモデルを拝見して、バルブ筐体の中の構造をイメージしやすくなり、それなりに理解できたのは大きかったと思います。

１から１０までの手順や組み方を覚えるにはとにかく数をこなすしかありません。

構造や仕組みを理解することでそれを補うか、数をこなして完璧に体に叩き込んで覚えるのが合っている人もいると思います。

作業自体の覚え方は正直なところそれぞれでいいと思います。

自分にとって最適な方法で身につければいいのです。

Today, I'm in Mie Prefecture for the open inspection of Kagura Vapertech vaporizers. We are conducting the inspection for two units simultaneously, with assistance from Gas Plant Co.

The opportunities for on-site maintenance and disassembly of minimum valves during open inspections have been increasing. While it's crucial to memorize the steps, I believe that understanding the structure and mechanism can help eliminate mistakes and save time.

Recently, during a technical training seminar, I had the chance to examine a cut model of a minimum valve. It helped me visualize the structure inside the valve housing, and I believe it significantly contributed to my understanding.

To memorize the procedures and assembly steps from one to ten, one must simply practice repeatedly. Some people complement their understanding of the structure and mechanism, while others prefer to drill and perfect their memorization through repetition.

Honestly, there's no single best way to memorize tasks.

The key is to learn in the way that suits you best.

シンガポールにリー・クアンユーという政治家がいたのはご存知でしょうか。

シンガポールは今となっては東南アジアだけでなく世界的にも中心的案存在となっており、そのようになるよう、シンガポールの礎を築き、人民を導いたリー・クアンユーの考え方を記した一冊の本があります。

リー・クアンユー、世界を語る

良い国にするにはどうしたらいいか。国民を率いていくには？政治家としてあるべき姿、国家が目指すべき未来。

国の未来が明るく感じなければ、国民は酒に溺れていき、経済は豊かになりません。

努力をせず、今日生きるためだけに生きているようなそんな生活になっていきます。

国が豊かになる姿を描くことができれば、子供を産み育て、家を建て、物を買い、人々と交流を図ることができますよね。

アメリカや中国との未来、ロシアの近未来、それらの予想を立てていて、１０年ほど前の本ですが、あながち間違ってもいない、まさに思考から未来を予測することができるのだと感じさせてくれる本です。

国によって優れた制度はあるけれど、完璧なものはなく、永遠には続かないので少しずつ変化していく必要があります。

アメリカは言わずと知れた自由の国ですが、個人主義には個人主義の問題点がある。

中国は１３億人の経済をちらつかせて、それを交渉材料にして国同士のつながりを強固なものにしていく。

ですが、共産党の独裁ですので、それらを維持するのも大変なのです。

そのあたりは　１３歳からの地政学　にも詳しく出ています。

シンガポールの首相を約３０年もの間務め、各国の首脳に実際にお会いしているので、より人と成りを知っていることでしょう。

国を導く話でありますが、自分たちに当てはめるのであれば組織を率いていくにはどうしたらいいか、という考えを得られるのではないかと思います。

本書はQ&Aを用いてインタビュー形式になっているため、すごく読みやすい本です。

世界のことが知れると思います。

Are you familiar with the politician Lee Kuan Yew from Singapore? Singapore has become a central presence not only in Southeast Asia but also globally. There is a book that captures the mindset of Lee Kuan Yew, who laid the foundation for Singapore and led its people to where it stands today.

What does it take to make a country great? How does one lead a nation? What should the ideal politician be like, and what future should the nation aspire to?

If the future of a country doesn't seem bright, its people tend to drown themselves in alcohol, and the economy doesn't prosper.

Without effort, life becomes a cycle of living just for today.

However, when you envision a prosperous nation, it inspires people to have children, build homes, purchase goods, and engage in social interactions.

This book, written about a decade ago but still relevant, makes predictions about the future of the United States, China, and the near future of Russia. It shows that one can predict the future based on thoughtful analysis.

While different countries may have excellent systems, nothing is perfect, and changes are necessary over time.

America is known as the land of freedom, but individualism comes with its own set of problems.

China showcases its economic power of 1.3 billion people to strengthen its international relations, using it as leverage in negotiations. However, maintaining a communist dictatorship is no easy task, as detailed in the book "Geopolitics from the Age of 13".

Having served as Singapore's Prime Minister for about 30 years and having met various world leaders in person, Lee Kuan Yew undoubtedly understands human nature and leadership.

While the book primarily discusses leading nations, applying those principles can help us understand how to lead organizations effectively.

This book, presented in an interview format with Q&A, is very easy to read.

It provides insights into global affairs. I highly recommend giving it a read!
