昨日の↓の記事の続きになります。

JLPAの総会に出るのに東京に行くので築地へ行ってきた　I Went to Tsukiji While in Tokyo for the JLPA General Meeting

勝鬨橋を出て歩いていると１４時になっていました。

総会は１５時からなので、ぼちぼち向かわないと遅刻してしまいます。

歩いて八丁堀の辺りまで戻ってきました。

電車でもよかったのですが、江戸バスという東京都中央区で運行しているコミュニティーバスがあったのでそちらを利用しました。

北循環で、ぐるっと回っているので、慣れない人でも非常にわかりやすくなっています。

しかも、１００円。

座席数は少ないですが、電車のように構内を歩かなくていいし、涼しいし結構快適で利用してよかったと思いました。

東京駅の八重洲北口で降車して、歩いて少しいったところ、立派な東京駅が見える方からすぐのところにある日本工業倶楽部が総会の会場となります。

かなり立派な建物になります。

新規会員が１社あったようで、嬉しい限りです。

私の時も理事会で承認された上、会員になることが認められるとそう説明されました。

順調に話が進んで、総会が終わったのが、１６時ごろでした。

その後、懇親会までの間が３０分ほどありました。

着席していた机の上の荷物を片付けていると、

「NEXTさん？？」

と声をかけられました。

なんとインスタで相互フォローさせていただいている株式会社九州エルピーの宮崎社長にお声がけいただきました。

思わず、ツーショットをお願いしてしまい快く引き受けてくださいました！お優しい。。。

宮崎社長自らインスタを更新されているとのことで、最近更新していなかったので、ちゃんとやらなきゃな、、、と思った次第です、、、反省。

懇親会でも、カグラベーパーテックのプラント検査部の方、同じカグラベーパーテックのサービス代理店の企業様ともお話させていただきました。

お料理も美味しくてコンパニオンの方も美しくて。。。懇親会っていいですねw

人と会ってお話しをすると、さまざまな意見交換の中でひらめきであったり、アイデアなどが浮かんでくることもあります。

自分の方向性の確認もできたり。

参加者の人を見ていると、懇親会でもじもじして隅の方で縮こまっていたりしている方も見受けられますが、私だって知り合いはほとんどいません。

こういう場でも遠慮せずに話をしにいけるかどうかは大事だと思います。

まぁ、インスタをやっていて、結構助かった部分がありますし、表面的な反応はないけれど意外と見てくれているのだと思い。。。驚きもしました。

普段から、情報発信する側に立つと色々といいことがあるなぁ、と思いこれからも続けていきたいと思います。

また１年後にいくことになると思いますが、その時までにもうちょっとLPガスの検査業界に貢献できるような仕事や経営者としての成長をしていたいと思います。

若手経営者で話し合いの場を持つとかも面白そうですよね。

今から楽しみです。

This post continues from the previous one:

"I Went to Tsukiji While in Tokyo for the JLPA General Meeting."

By the time I left Kachidoki Bridge, it was 2 PM. Since the general meeting started at 3 PM, I had to head there soon to avoid being late.

I walked back toward Hatchobori. Although taking the train was an option, I decided to use the Edo Bus, a community bus service in Chuo Ward, Tokyo.

The bus follows a circular route, making it very easy to navigate even for newcomers. Plus, it's only 100 yen. Despite the limited seating, it was comfortable and convenient as I didn't have to walk through station premises, and it was cool inside.

I got off at Yaesu North Exit of Tokyo Station. From there, it was a short walk to the Nihon Kogyo Club, the venue for the general meeting, located near the impressive Tokyo Station building.

The building itself is quite magnificent.

It was announced that there was one new regular member, which is always great news. When I joined, I was told that the membership had to be approved by the board, so I understand the process. The meeting proceeded smoothly and concluded around 4 PM.

There was a 30-minute gap before the start of the reception. As I was tidying up my belongings at the table, someone called out, "NEXT-san??"

It was President Miyazaki from Kyushu LP, whom I follow on Instagram.

I couldn't resist asking for a photo together, and he kindly obliged. Such a nice person.

President Miyazaki mentioned that he personally updates their Instagram, which made me reflect on my own recent inactivity. I need to get back to it.

During the reception, I also spoke with people from the plant inspection department of Kagura Vapor Tech and some of their service agents.

The food was delicious, and the companions were beautiful... networking events are great!

Engaging with others often sparks new ideas and confirmations about your direction. I noticed some participants were shyly sticking to the corners during the reception. But even though I hardly knew anyone, it's important to engage and talk in such settings.

I was pleasantly surprised by how helpful Instagram has been, realizing that even if people don't react outwardly, they are often paying attention.

Being proactive in sharing information has its benefits, and I plan to continue doing so.

I look forward to attending again next year, hoping to contribute more to the LP gas inspection industry and grow as a business owner.

Organizing a discussion group for young entrepreneurs could be interesting too. I'm excited about the future.

本日は東京の日本工業倶楽部にて行われた一般社団法人日本エルピーガスプラント協会の総会にいってきました。

前年度から正会員にならせていただいて、２回目の参加となりました。

今回も有意義な時間を過ごせました。ありがとうございました！

午前中に移動して、八丁堀から新富町を通って築地場外市場までお散歩してきました。

地下鉄築地駅出てすぐにある築地本願寺より

途中、不動産屋さんの張り紙などを見ながら進んでいきます。

ええお家賃です。ほしい！ｗ

現地で触れるといいますか、実際に現地を歩いてみてやっぱりいい街だなぁと思いました。

東京なので便利そうなのはもちろんですが、適度に空が開けていてとにかく景観がいいのです。

このあたりの東京は景観を保ちながら計画的に整えられた都市だなぁ、と田舎ものですが感じてしまいました。

カットメロンが売られていたり。。。

豆屋さんに列が出来ていたり。。。

築地にくると、海鮮食べたいという思考回路になってしまって、ハレの日食堂という築地の中では割とリーズナブルそうなお店でお昼ゴハンを食べました。

インバウンドの方にはウニが人気なのか。。。そこかしこでウニを売り出していました。

お値段もインバウンド価格。。。ｗ

日本人が出そうと思うかどうかは謎です。

お腹も満たされたところでもう少し足を伸ばして勝どき方面へ。

勝鬨橋からは東京タワーが見えました

元築地市場は解体の工事が続いているようです。

築地側はフェンスがされていてはっきり見えなかったのですが、橋側から見るとよく見えました。

ここに新しい施設が立つ計画が決まったようで、このあたりは元々需要があるので、今後もどんどん価値が高まっていくことでしょう。

実際に歩いてみると、気持ちよさであったり、住みたくなる街であることがとてもよくわかります。

不動産の需要自体はどこにでもあるものですが、東京、特に港区のあたりは別格だと思いました。

東京しか勝たん、と思うくらいに。

Today, I attended the annual general meeting of the Japan LP Gas Plant Association at the Japan Industrial Club in Tokyo.

Since last year, we have become a regular member, and this was my second time attending. I had another meaningful time. Thank you very much!

In the morning, I traveled to Tokyo and took a walk from Hatchobori through Shintomicho to the Tsukiji Outer Market.

Here is Tsukiji Honganji Temple, which is right outside Tsukiji Station.

Along the way, I looked at postings from real estate agents.

It's quite a nice rent. I want it! LOL

Walking around the area, I felt that it's a really nice city. Of course, being Tokyo, it's convenient, but the sky is open and the scenery is wonderful. Even though I'm a country person, I felt that this part of Tokyo is a well-planned city that maintains its beautiful landscape.

They were selling cut melons...

And there was a line at the bean shop...

When I come to Tsukiji, I always think about eating seafood. So, I had lunch at Hare no Hi Shokudo, which seemed reasonably priced for Tsukiji.

Sea urchin seems to be popular among inbound tourists... it was being sold everywhere. The prices were also set for inbound tourists... LOL I wonder if Japanese people would be willing to pay that much.

After satisfying my hunger, I walked a bit further towards Kachidoki.

From Kachidoki Bridge, I could see Tokyo Tower.

The demolition of the old Tsukiji Market seems to be ongoing. Although it was hard to see from the Tsukiji side due to fencing, it was clearly visible from the bridge side.

There are plans to build new facilities here, and since there has always been demand in this area, its value will likely continue to rise.

Walking around, I could clearly understand why it's such a pleasant place and a city where people would want to live. The demand for real estate exists everywhere, but Tokyo, especially around Minato Ward, is exceptional. I even thought, "Only Tokyo can win."

私もよく陥ってしまう罠があります。

手段が目的となってしまうことです。

どういうことかというと

「セミナーを受けて、学んだ知識を〇〇に生かして受注に繋げたい」

とセミナーを受けてみるのはいいのですが、セミナーを受けてそのまま終わってしまう。

といったことです。

「あの子が持っているものと同じおもちゃを手に入れて、自分もたくさん遊びたい。」

のではなくて、

「あの子が持っているものを私も欲しい。」

本当はそのようなことが目的になっていませんか？

こうなってしまうと、買ったはいいけど、何物にもならないただのガラクタとなってしまいます。

買って満足してしまうなどは私もよく陥ってしまうのです。

コレクションしたいわけではないのですが、買うことで満たされてしまうのでしょう。

それではただの浪費になってしまいます。

これがあるから仕事が捗り、今の状態では仕事が捗らなくなってきているから。

と明確な理由が必要になってきます。

なければならないのか、なくてもよいのか。

投資なのか浪費なのかは、物やサービスを買う前に考える必要がありそうです。

手段が目的となったものには悲しい結末が待っています。

独立することが目的なのか、独立してその先にやりたいことなどの目的があるのかで大きく変わってきます。

人は心と体が一心同体となっています。

心なくして体は動きません。

常に心を整えておいて、自分の行動の目的を見失わないようにしていきましょう。

I often fall into a certain trap.

It's the trap of letting the means become the ends.

What I mean is something like attending a seminar with the intention of using the knowledge gained to secure more orders. It's good to attend the seminar, but then just ending there without applying what was learned.

Another example is wanting to get the same toy that another child has, not because you want to play with it, but just to have it. The original intention to play and have fun gets lost, and it becomes just about owning the toy.

When this happens, the item you bought ends up being just junk, serving no real purpose. I've often fallen into the trap of being satisfied just by the act of purchasing, even though I don't want to collect things. This results in mere wasteful spending.

It's important to have clear reasons for purchases, like needing something to improve work efficiency or because the current situation demands it. You need to ask yourself if the item is necessary or just nice to have, and if it's an investment or a waste.

When the means become the ends, it often leads to a sad conclusion. Whether your goal is simply to become independent or to achieve something specific after becoming independent makes a big difference.

People's hearts and bodies are united. Without a purpose, the body doesn't move.

We should always keep our minds clear and not lose sight of our true goals.

昔の手法が通用しなくなっているのかもしれません。

父親が勤めていた高圧ガスプラントの検査業の会社に入って、見よう見まねでやってきました。

お客様との関わり方はあまり変わりませんが、仲良しだけでは成り立たなくなってきていると思います。

今は、業者を探すことのコストが非常に少なくなり、簡単に探せてしまうようになりました。

仲良しとはいっても、コスト削減は企業の生涯のテーマであり、まだ見ぬ業者を求めて大海原へ船を出して漕ぎ出すのに、あまり難しいことを考えずに済むようになりましたよね。

それで苦労したこともあり、考えずにはいられないです。

父が言っていた、「言われるのではなく、先回りする。」

ということについて最近思ったことがあります。

言われたことだけしかやらない人を結構見かけるのです。

「それは言われていません。」

という言葉を耳にすることがあります。

イニシアチブを取る。

と言っていましたが、たしかに。と最近はとても思うのです。

誰も取らないので、そこで取れるだけで優位に立てる場合が多くなってきました。

人を見ていると待ちの姿勢。受動的な人が多いです。

言われないと見積が出てこない。

催促されないと動けない。

でも、少し考えてみてほしいです。

お仕事の話をいただいて、見積を出すのは当然の流れです。

昔と違ってデジタル技術も発達していて、楽になっているはずなのに、昔の人よりも仕事が遅いなんてあり得ないですよね。

忘れないためのツールもたくさんあると思います。

道具に関しても進化しているのに、みんなはどんどん働かなくなっている。

にもかかわらず、生産性が落ちているのか年を取り動きが悪くなっているのか、昔よりも人をかけないと終わらないようになってきています。

昔のように人がたくさんいた時代はとうに終わっています。

私が入ったころからお見えだった、検査や機械メンテの業界の先輩たちは引退間際になっています。

昔と同じようにやっていたのでは出来なくなってきます。

業務を見直して、これはなぜやっているのだろうか？

ということを一度考えてみたらいいと思います。

時間を作りましょう。

そして、生まれた時間を稼ぎにつながる時間にしましょう。

未来への投資も含まれています。

僕ら零細企業は資本が少ないので、時間というリソースを最大限に生かしていく必要があります。

限られたリソースをどこに割くのか。

考えていきたいものです。

Perhaps the old methods are no longer effective.

When I joined my father's company, which specialized in inspecting high-pressure gas plants, I learned by imitating what I saw. While the way we interact with customers hasn't changed much, it's no longer sustainable to rely solely on friendly relationships. Nowadays, the cost of finding new suppliers is very low, making it easy to find new ones.

Even with strong relationships, cost reduction remains a perpetual theme for companies. It's now much easier to venture out in search of unseen suppliers without much hassle. This has brought its own challenges and made me think more deeply.

Recently, I've been reflecting on something my father used to say: "Don't wait to be told; anticipate."

I often encounter people who only do what they're explicitly told. I hear phrases like, "That wasn't mentioned."

Taking the initiative is crucial. I've come to realize that simply by taking the initiative where others do not, one can gain a significant advantage.

Many people I observe adopt a passive stance. They don't submit estimates unless asked, and they don't act without prompting.

But think about it for a moment. Receiving a job request and submitting an estimate should be an automatic process. With the advancement of digital technology, our work should be easier than before. It doesn't make sense that we are slower than previous generations, who had fewer tools at their disposal. There are countless tools to help us remember tasks. Despite the evolution of these tools, people seem to be working less efficiently. Productivity appears to be declining, and it now takes more people to complete tasks that used to require fewer.

The era of having plenty of workers is long gone. The veteran inspectors and maintenance technicians who were around when I joined are now nearing retirement. We can no longer rely on the same old methods.

It's time to reevaluate our operations and ask ourselves why we are doing things the way we are.

We need to create time and convert that time into productive efforts that generate income, including investments for the future.

As a small business, we have limited capital, so we must maximize the resource of time. We need to think carefully about where to allocate our limited resources.

Let's think about this together.

他人に振り回されない生き方 How to Live Without Being Swayed by Others

他人にぶるんぶるん振り回され続けると疲れます。

仕事をもらっていて、値引き要求が来て、それを飲んで値引きをして仕事が来るかと思ったらそうでもなくて、残ったのは金額が下がった少しの仕事。

見積を出しても、通るか通らないかギリギリまでわからない。

される側だけの話ではありません。

そんなこと発注先にしてませんか？

不確実な世の中になり、先が見通せなくなりました。

ですので、ギリギリまで意思決定や判断を遅らせたいのも無理はありません。

その中で、限りある時間を人から頂戴するのであれば、必要でないことや無駄なことを他人にさせることは極力やめていかないといけませんよね。

発注するまでは無料ということだけが頭にあって、見積は無料なのですが、無料というコストはその業者さんが見ているということを理解していないといけないです。

キャベツのサービスはお店がコストを見ているのです。

決して、無料ではありません。お客の代わりに払っている、いわば犠牲のようなものです。

無駄なことを極力なくしたい。

そんな時間があるならブログを考えたり、本を読んだりしたいですよね。

睡眠時間にあてたい人もいるでしょう。早く帰宅できるかもしれません。

被害を受けた時、人は加害した人を大変非難します。

ですが、被害を受けた人が誰かに同じように加害していることが往々にしてあるのです。

自分が同じことをしてしまっていることに気がつかないのです。

仕事では人は人に言いません。

お客様ですからなかなか言えませんよね。

そんな中で、他人に振り回されない生き方をしたいと思うなら、自分も他人を振り回さないように、自分の周りの環境を整える必要があると思います。

自分の手を動かして、自分の足でしっかりと立てるように足場を固めて体勢を整えていく。

誰かに振り回されないだけで、人生気持ちよく生きられるものなのです。

It can be exhausting to be constantly swayed by others.

For instance, when clients demand discounts, you might agree, hoping for more work, only to end up with a reduced amount of work at a lower rate. Even when you submit estimates, it's uncertain whether they will be accepted until the last moment.

This issue isn't just from the receiving end. Are you perhaps doing the same to your suppliers?

In an increasingly uncertain world, it’s understandable that people want to delay decisions and judgments as long as possible. However, if you're taking someone's limited time, you must avoid making them do unnecessary or wasteful tasks.

It's easy to forget that while estimates might be free, the cost is borne by the provider. Free cabbage at a restaurant isn't actually free; the restaurant covers the cost on behalf of the customer, effectively sacrificing something.

Minimizing waste is essential. Instead of wasting time, wouldn't it be better to plan your blog, read a book, or get more sleep? Some might want to spend that time to return home earlier.

When people are harmed, they often criticize the perpetrator harshly. However, those who suffer are often unaware that they may also be inflicting similar harm on others. It's important to recognize that we might be doing the same to others without realizing it. In business, people often refrain from pointing this out, especially to their customers.

If you wish to live without being swayed by others, you must ensure that you do not sway others yourself. By creating a well-organized environment around you, you can prevent unnecessary influence from others.

Strengthen your foundation and stand firmly on your own two feet. By not being swayed by others, you can lead a more pleasant and fulfilling life.

自分が思うように生きるにはどうすればいいか。

誰かをコントロールするのはとても難しいですが、自分だけをコントロールするのはとても簡単です。自分の思うままに出来るからです。

自分の人生に絶望した時に、周囲に愚痴を吐いていても何も変わりません。

自分のため、自分の人生のために。自分が自分のために何を出来るかを考えて、よりよくなるように行動することです。

それは賭け事ではなく、しっかりと価値を見据え、自分がまるで知略家、戦法家のごとく勝率を１％でもあげるように行動しながら考え抜くことです。

考えるだけで足踏みしてしまうことがありますが、それよりも行動しながら修正していけばいいと思います。

人の能力というのは、一か八かの賭けに出る思考から抜け出せなくて本当の意味で考えないから発揮できないのであって、いざという時、窮地に立たされた時などには本来の危険察知能力などが発揮されると思っています。

情報が溢れた社会で過去に起こった同様の事例でわざわざ窮地に立たされる必要はないので、書籍から学んで人の失敗や思考法を学んだり、学術として利用することができれば本当に危険な状態になることもないと思います。

自分が思うように生きるために、自分で責任を持って仕事をしてみたり、小さな会社を作ってみるとそういうことがわかってくると思います。

思うように生きるということは自分の行動の全てに責任を負うということになりますよね。

それでも思うように生きたいというのであれば希望はあると思います。

自分の人生を豊かにできるのは、他の誰でもなく自分にかかっているのですから。

How can one live as they wish? Controlling others is very difficult, but controlling oneself is quite simple because you can act as you please.

When you despair about your life, complaining to those around you won't change anything. Think about what you can do for yourself, for your life, and take actions to improve your situation.

It's not about taking a gamble but rather seeing the value clearly and acting like a strategist, always thinking to increase your chances of success by even 1%.

Sometimes we get stuck just thinking, but it’s better to correct your course as you go along.

People can't demonstrate their true abilities because they’re trapped in a one-or-nothing mindset. However, in critical situations, our innate risk detection skills emerge.

In an information-rich society, there's no need to put yourself in danger like past cases; you can learn from books about others' failures and thought processes. This way, you can avoid truly dangerous situations.

To live as you wish, try taking responsibility for your work or starting a small business. You’ll begin to understand these concepts.

Living as you wish means taking full responsibility for all your actions.

Even so, if you still want to live as you wish, there's hope. The ability to enrich your life lies with you and no one else.

子供達が通う小学校の運動会がありました。

地元が同じ同級生が数名いまして、こういう場で会って話すのが楽しいですよね。

アラフォーはアラフォーでも、４０手前になると男としての人生で何を幸せと思い生きているか悩んだりもします。

嫁が怖いという人がいたり、お金のことで割と苦労しているのか友人の話で自分が格差を感じてしまったりする人もいます。

仕事の話をしていると、それいいね！と話に花が咲くような、香ばしい香りのする会話も生まれます。

人と話すというのは本当に楽しいですし、新しい発見であったりワクワクすることが生まれるのだと改めて感じますね。

ある友人と話をしていて、聞いた時点ですでに事業になりそうな話、そこまでわかっているなら全然いけるよね、と感じたので

「ぜひやってみたらいいよ！」

と勧めてもその最後の一歩が踏み出せない。

勤め先から、副業は認められていないとか諦めざるを得ない（そうせざるを得なさそうな）わけです。

政府が副業解禁と言っているのに、地方の会社というのはなんとも理不尽ですよね。

本業をやりながら、アルバイトをしたりして少しでも手取りを増やす努力はしているようですが、それではバイト脳であり短絡的だと思います。

すごくいい線を言っているので、あと一歩なんですよね。

自分も同じように悩み、そこで一歩を踏み出して今があるので自分が歩んだことであればアドバイスすることが出来ます。

だから、アラフォーである自分たちが力を合わせて一歩先の良い未来へ進んでいけるような気がしています。

まだまだ若いし、石橋を叩いて渡るようにいけば大きな失敗をせずに済みます。

友人同士で事業をしている友人たちを見て、すごく生き生きとしていて楽しそうだったので、自分たちもそういうことができれば。。。人生における豊かさに気付けるのかもしれません。

一度きりの人生を有意義なものにするために、少しでも彩りをつけ、歩んできてよかったと思える人生にするためにはどうしたらいいのか。

アラフォーは悩み多き年頃なのです。

There was a sports day at the elementary school my children attend.

There are a few classmates from my hometown, and it’s enjoyable to meet and talk with them at such events.

Being in my late 30s, almost 40, I sometimes wonder what it means to find happiness in life as a man.

Some people find their wives intimidating, while others seem to struggle financially and feel the disparity when listening to friends talk about their situations.

When we talk about work, sometimes the conversation gets really exciting with interesting and appealing topics.

Talking with people is truly fun, and it brings about new discoveries and exciting experiences.

While chatting with a friend, I realized that his idea could easily become a business. I encouraged him to give it a try, but he couldn't take that final step.

He mentioned that his employer doesn’t allow side jobs, so he feels forced to give up.

Even though the government is promoting side jobs, local companies can be quite unreasonable.

He’s trying to increase his income by working part-time in addition to his main job, but that’s short-sighted.

He’s on the right track and just needs to take one more step.

I’ve faced similar dilemmas and took that step forward, leading to where I am today. I can offer advice based on my own experiences.

I believe that if we, in our late 30s, combine our efforts, we can move towards a better future.

We’re still young, and if we proceed cautiously, we can avoid major failures. Seeing friends who run businesses together, they look vibrant and happy. If we could do something similar, we might find greater fulfillment in life.

To make our once-in-a-lifetime journey meaningful, we should add some color and ensure that we can look back and feel good about our lives.

Being in our late 30s comes with many worries.

物事に優先順位をつけてみる Prioritizing Things

ついついやってしまうことありませんか？

スマホでゲーム？ネット？SNS？

気付いたら何時間もそれをやってしまっている。数分で止まるようでなかなか止まりませんよね。

１日の限られた可処分時間の数時間をそのような徒労に費やしてしまっていると大変もったいないですよね。

かといって、ゲームが好きなのであればゲームはしたいですし、SNSでの友達がいればそちらのコミュニケーションも大変楽しいものです。

やらなければならないことや、やりたいと思っていることを優先にしてそれが終わったら楽しいことをする時間を取る、というようにすると物事が進んでいいのではないでしょうか？

平日も読書をしたいと思っていてもなかなか時間が取れないかもしれません。

たとえ１５分でもいいから、寝る前に時間を取るようにする。

それをやってから眠るようにすれば、優先したいものである「読書をする時間」というのは確保することが出来ます。

眠るよりも、読書をすることを優先することでやった方がいいなぁ、と思っていることをやることが出来ます。

家族との時間が取れなければ、そちらを優先してみるように行動してみてはどうでしょうか。

残業が厳しければ、しないで済むようにするにはどうすればいいかを考えたことはありますか？

最初から無理だと思ってはいけません。

優先したいことをやるためにはどうしたらできるかを考えることです。

やりたいけどやれないことをなくしていけば、自分に落ち込まずに済みさらには自信もついてくるはずです。

Do you ever find yourself doing something habitually? Playing games on your smartphone? Surfing the web? Scrolling through social media?

Before you know it, you've spent hours on these activities. It’s hard to stop even when you intend to only spend a few minutes.

Spending a few hours of your limited daily disposable time on such futile activities is a real waste.

That said, if you enjoy games, you’ll want to play them. If you have friends on social media, those interactions can be very enjoyable.

How about prioritizing the things you need or want to do first, and then rewarding yourself with fun activities after they’re done?

Even on weekdays, you might want to read but struggle to find the time. Even if it's just 15 minutes, setting aside time before bed can help. If you make it a habit to read before sleeping, you'll secure time for this priority.

By prioritizing reading over sleep, you ensure that you accomplish what you deem important.

If you lack time with your family, try prioritizing them. If overtime is tough, have you thought about how to avoid it? Don’t assume it’s impossible from the start. Think about what you can do to make time for what’s important to you.

By eliminating things you want to do but can’t, you’ll avoid feeling down and, eventually, gain more confidence.

「手に職だな」

という言葉を聞いたことありませんか？

小さなころから手に職だと言われて育ってきましたが、子供には意味がよくわかりませんよねw

最近になって、この言葉の意味は何かを生み出せないといけないということであったり、士業になれということではない気がしてきました。

自分が得意なことに気付き、自分が生み出せるものに気付き、自分が何かで誰かの役に立てることに気付き、それを使っていくことだと思っています。

自分の長所や得意なことに気付くことって、結構難しいんですよね。

自分が当たり前だと思っていることは、誰かにとって優れた技術である、ということに人は大変気付かないものです。

誰かに

「あなたのそれってすごいんだよ！」と言ってもらえないとわからないし、言われたとしても当の本人は謙遜して

「そんなことないです。普通ですよ。」

と返答し、何もなかったかのように振る舞ってしまいます。

自分が好きなことや熱中できることを見つけて、研究してとびきり好きになって、それを世の中に打ち出していくことがこれからの世の中で誰かの好きになっていくんじゃないかと思っています。

仕事でも、趣味でも、とびきりのオタクの存在が世の中を面白おかしく彩っていく。

それが手に職なのだと思います。

看板がなくても、自分の体と知能でどこででも生きていける。

そんな存在になれたら、誰かの言いなりになって働かなくてもいいかもしれません。

人が自由を手に入れて、一度きりの人生を、その人が生きたいように生きれたらとても幸せだと思います。

最初は苦しい時もあるけれど、その山を越えた先に見える景色はとても雄大だと思います。

自分の中の「手に職」に目を向けてみてください。

もしかしたら、自分の当たり前が誰かのスペシャルになれるかもしれません。

Have you ever heard the phrase, "Having a skill makes sense"?

I've been told since I was young that having a skill is important, but as a child, I didn't really understand what it meant.

Recently, I've realized that this phrase doesn't necessarily mean that you need to be able to create something or become a professional. 

It means recognizing what you're good at, understanding what you can create, realizing how you can be useful to someone, and utilizing that.

It's quite difficult to recognize your strengths and what you're good at. People often don't realize that something they consider ordinary might be an extraordinary skill to someone else.

Unless someone tells you, "What you're doing is amazing!" you might never know. And even if they do, you might respond modestly, "It's nothing special. It's just normal."

Finding something you love or are passionate about, researching it, becoming deeply invested in it, and presenting it to the world—these are the things that can make someone appreciate you. Whether it's in work or as a hobby, people with unique obsessions and passions make the world a more colorful and interesting place.

That's what having a skill means.

Even without a signboard, if you have the skills and knowledge to survive anywhere, you might not need to work under someone else's terms.

If people can gain freedom and live their one and only life the way they want, that would be true happiness. There will be tough times at the beginning, but the view after overcoming those challenges will be magnificent.

Focus on your "having a skill." Perhaps what you consider ordinary might be something extraordinary for someone else.

「あの人にしか出来ない」

なんてものはないと思います。

製品であれ、サービスであれ、特別なものはない。

特別なものがあるとすれば、その人自身だと思います。

元祖という言葉や第１人者などそういう言葉に惹かれ魅力を感じることもあります。

あの人にお願いしたい、と思える人なら自分が作ったりする時間が大変に惜しいのでお願いしてしまいますが、自分がお願いしたくない人や会社に対して、お願いするかどうかという問題がありますよね。

普段ならば、気にしないのですが自分の生き方やポリシーと合わない人に、わざわざ頭を下げてお願いするのもなんだかなぁ、と最近考えてしまいます。

自分と他人なので、合わないことがあるのはじゅうじゅう承知していますが、ちょっと許せないなぁ、と思うとさすがにその人に仕事をお願いしたくはないよねぇ。。。と考えてしまいます。

１から仕組みや製品を作るとなると、大変です。

ですが、眼の前のお客様がお困りなのにそれを自分が手助け出来ないことは大変悔しいと思います。

だから、自分もやってみよう。

ネットで調べてもあそこしかない、と言われているならそれを作ろう。

お客様が実際にお困りなのであればそれを解決出来るようにしよう。

失敗はするかもしれないが、難しいことなんてない。

失敗も成功するまでやり続ければいい。

化学の原理で行えば、みな同様の結果にたどり着くはず。

それが化学なんですよね。

さぁ、面白いこと始めるよ。

"I am the only one who can do this."

I don't believe that there's anything that only one person can do. Whether it's a product or a service, there's nothing inherently special. If there is something special, it's the individual themselves.

Words like "originator" or "pioneer" can be appealing and attractive.

If there's someone you specifically want to ask for help, it's often because you value your time and prefer not to spend it doing the task yourself. However, there are times when you might hesitate to ask someone or a company that you don't trust or like.

Normally, I wouldn't care, but recently I've been thinking about how I don't want to bow my head and ask for help from someone whose values or ways of working don't align with mine.

I understand that not everyone will be a good match, but when someone is particularly hard to tolerate, I definitely don't want to ask them for help.

Creating a system or product from scratch is challenging. But if a customer is in need and I can't help, it feels incredibly frustrating. So, why not try it myself?

If the internet says there's only one place that does it, then let's create it ourselves. If a customer is genuinely in need, let's find a solution for them.

There might be failures, but nothing is truly difficult. If you keep trying, you'll eventually succeed.

Following scientific principles, everyone should reach the same result. That's the nature of science.

So, let's start something interesting. Is there anything you're challenging yourself with? Let's all take on new challenges together.

２０２４年４月から新しく放送が開始された新プロジェクトX。

先週は世界初の量産EVの開発秘話でした。

日本企業の日産が作ったLEAF。

バッテリーの開発が難航したようでした。

世界で初めて商品化したのは日本の企業です（ソニー）

日本が生産の９割を占めていたのは昔のことで今では韓国や中国での生産量が増えてきています。

発火しやすいことと均一に電解液がいかないことで短寿命となっていたのを、NECにいた人のアイデアでうどん棒と呼ばれる作業工程を取り入れることでバッテリーの性能を向上、その作業を製造工程に取り入れる機械を生産ラインチームが組み込みバッテリーの量産化に成功し、晴れてLEAFは日の目をみることとなったのです。

誰もやったことのないことへの挑戦。

大きな会社なので、研究費を費やすだけの期間は冷ややかな目で見られることもあったと思います。

それでも諦めずに情熱を燃やし続けること数年。

本当に作り上げてしまいました。

その中で、電池の開発メンバーの人がおっしゃったコミュニケーションという言葉が印象に残りました。

部署を超えて、本音で話す。

リーダー同士で部下を返したあとに集まる会議では隠し事は一切無しなんだそうです。

素晴らしいと思います。

僕は仕事をしていてそのことで気付いたことがあります。

人は隠し事をするのです。

壊れていることを隠したり、気付いても言わないでおく、みたいな話を聞いたことがありま

す。

自分が当事者になりたくなかったり、面倒なことに巻き込まれたくないということなのでしょうか。

都合が悪いことを言わないでおく。

開発が遅れていたり思ったより進まないなど恥ずかしくて言えないなど、恥という部分にこだわってしまうこともあるでしょう。

壊れたものを壊れたまま使う。

言った人が直さないといけないから？

遅れるとわかれば怒られるから？

そんなに面倒なことなのでしょうかね？

怒られるかもしれない、と思っているのでしょうかね？

不具合があった時、伝えることで対策や解決策を考えることができます。

だから素直にお伝えした方が僕はいいと思っています。

隠しごとをしたまま、その場を立ち去るときっとずっと気になって仕方がありません。

素直なコミュニケーションが良好な人間関係を築けるのだと思います。

In April 2024, the new Project X series began broadcasting. Last week featured the development secrets of the world’s first mass-produced EV, the Nissan LEAF.

The development of its battery faced many difficulties. The first company to commercialize the battery was a Japanese company, Sony.

While Japan used to dominate 90% of the production, nowadays, production in South Korea and China has increased.

Issues such as flammability and uneven distribution of electrolyte leading to short battery life were resolved by an idea from a former NEC employee. By incorporating a process called "udon stick" into the manufacturing, the performance of the batteries was enhanced. The production line team successfully integrated this process into their production line, leading to the mass production of the LEAF’s battery.

The challenge of doing something never done before. As a large company, spending years on research often invites skeptical looks. But they didn't give up and kept their passion burning for several years until they succeeded.

One of the things that stood out to me was the word "communication" mentioned by a member of the battery development team.

They spoke candidly across departments. After meetings where leaders gathered their subordinates, they would have completely open discussions.

I think this is wonderful. Through my work, I’ve noticed that people often keep secrets.

I’ve heard stories of people hiding broken things or noticing issues but not speaking up. Perhaps they don't want to be held responsible or involved in troublesome matters. They avoid mentioning inconvenient truths.

Using something that’s broken. Is it because the person who mentions it has to fix it? Because they’ll get scolded if there's a delay?

Is it really that troublesome? Are they afraid of getting scolded?

When there are issues, communicating them allows for brainstorming solutions and strategies. I believe it’s better to be honest.

Leaving with secrets will likely make you constantly worried. Honest communication builds healthy human relationships.

５月末にある一般社団法人日本エルピーガスプラント協会（以下、JLPA）さんの総会に出席します。

５年ぶりとなる懇親会が開催されるそうです。

みなさまにお会いできることを楽しみにしております。

高圧ガスの検査業務ということについて、考えていた時期がありました。

ネガティブに考えすぎてしまって、

”僕たちの仕事はお客様にとってコストでしかない”

という答えに辿り着いた時期がありショックを受けた時期もあったり。。。

点検の義務がなければお客様は設備の維持にお金をかけずに済みます。

保安検査がないとするならば毎年の検査も受けなくてよくなります。

イコール僕らの仕事はお客様にとってコストでしかない。

でも、実際はそういうことにはなりませんでした。

お客様からそのような言葉をかけられたことはありません。

反対に感謝の言葉をいただけることもありました。

なぜだろう、と考えました。

実際は法定点検があって、検査を受けて保安検査をパスしなくてはなりません。

僕たちの仕事は設備の維持管理に役立っているということでもありました。

お役に立つことが出来ているから、お金をいただけている。

僕たちの仕事も日本の製造業に関わっていることを知りました。

お客様のそばに立って、技術と知識を使って設備の維持管理に努める。

前年と比べて異常となった部分を見つけたり、予防保全を推奨したりします。

自分たちだけが儲かるようなことを考えず、お客様へのベネフィットを考えて仕事に向き合っていく。

求められることと提供できる価値をすり合わせて自分たちが存在する理由とその価値を問い続けていくことが必要になってきます。

新しいものや技術を知り、それを取り入れてより安価に安定したサービスを提供していく努力をしていく必要もあります。

先輩たちが培い、育んできた知識や技術を未来へ繋いでいく必要もあります。

機械や設備など無機質なものと向き合いながら、僕たちは人へのサービスを磨いていく。

そのすべてを人に教えることがとにかく難しくて、この仕事に残っている人は確実に減っている気がします。

横のつながりを持ち大切にして、協力的関係を築きながら俯瞰的、長期的に人と仕事というものに対して理解を深めていく必要があると思います。

売り手市場なので、仕事はいくらでもあります。

ですが、それと同時に仕事というものに対して軽く考えている人が増えているということも感じずにはいられません。

他があるという保険が人を堕落させ、仕事とそこにいる人たちに対する真摯に向き合うという社会人として大切な姿を作りづらくしているような気がしてなりません。

適当な仕事をし、責任感を感じない大人が増えているという事実を受け止めなければならない。

自分が世の中に存在する理由と価値を今一度考えてみてはいかがでしょうか。

Today’s main topic is about considering the reasons and values behind our existence.

At the end of May, I will attend the general meeting of the Japan LP Gas Plant Association (JLPA). A social gathering will be held for the first time in five years. I look forward to meeting everyone.

There was a time when I pondered the nature of our work in high-pressure gas inspection. I became overly negative, thinking:

"Our work is merely a cost to our customers."

There were times when this realization shocked me. If there were no mandatory inspections, customers wouldn't need to spend money on maintaining their equipment. Without safety inspections, there would be no need for annual checks. This led me to conclude that our work was just a cost to our customers.

However, this wasn’t the case. No customer has ever said that to me. On the contrary, I’ve received words of gratitude.

Why is that? I wondered. The fact is, there are statutory inspections, and our job is to help pass these safety checks. Our work aids in the maintenance and management of their equipment.

We are able to receive compensation because we are useful to our customers. I realized that our work is also tied to Japan’s manufacturing industry.

By standing next to our customers and using our skills and knowledge, we strive to maintain their equipment. We identify abnormal parts compared to the previous year and recommend preventive maintenance.

Rather than focusing solely on our profit, we must consider the benefits to our customers. Aligning what is needed with the value we can provide, we must continually question the reason and value of our existence.

We must strive to learn new technologies and incorporate them to provide stable services at lower costs. It is also essential to pass on the knowledge and skills nurtured by our predecessors to future generations.

While dealing with machines and equipment, we refine our services for people. It’s incredibly difficult to teach all this to others, and it feels like the number of people staying in this line of work is dwindling.

We need to cherish and maintain our horizontal connections, build cooperative relationships, and deepen our understanding of people and work from a long-term, holistic perspective.

It's a seller’s market, so there are plenty of jobs. However, it’s hard not to notice an increase in people who take work lightly. Having alternatives as a safety net seems to lead people to slack off, making it challenging to foster a sincere approach to work and colleagues.

We must face the reality that there are more adults doing half-hearted work without a sense of responsibility.

Why not take a moment to reconsider the reason and value of your existence in the world?

それはただの自己中じゃないかな？ Isn't That Just Self-Centered?

「土日、休みます。」

私たちの業務は工場の高圧ガス設備の検査サービスやメンテナンスサービス業なので、土日休みではありません。

とはいうものの、子供の行事など休みたい時があり、みんなで協力しあってそういう日を融通しあって成り立たせている部分もあります。

今の時代、なかなか強制的にすることが難しいのか、協力会社さんにて２週連続で土日を休まれる方がいて、頭の中が「？？？」となったので少し書いてまとめてみたいと思います。

入って半年も経たない新人くんであり、今は繁忙期にさしかかったところです。

会社の制度は詳しくは知りませんけれど、土日に現場での仕事が入っていても休みを入れさえすれば好きに休めますよ、と話をしていたようでした。

たしかにそうなのでしょう。

規則に従い、会社の制度的にみればそうなのかもしれない。

自分は制度をうまく利用している、と思っているのかもしれないが、

僕にはただの「自己中で残念なやつ」に見えてしまいました。

世の中が自分ひとりで回っているとでもいうのでしょうか？

土日に休みたいと思っている人がいないとでも思っているのでしょうか？

何活か知らないけれど、それがしたいのであればこの業界に就業することが間違っているような気がしてなりません。

あまりにも人を舐めているし、仕事を舐めているとしか思えないのです。

かくいう私も土日に子供の行事があって休みたい時がありました。

ですが、その時だけどうしても休みたいと。他はいいと。

そういう気持ちでした。

それが正しいかどうかはわかりません。

その感覚がおかしいのかもしれないけれど、ハックしてやったかのように制度を逆手にとって自分の気の向くままに行動をすることがいいか？ということです。

この業界にいるにも関わらず、あまりにも短絡的すぎる気がするのです。

こういう人間には重要な仕事を任せることは出来ないでしょう。

「今」とは過去の積み重ねであって、こういうことが未来に向かって悪い意味で積み重なっていく。

協力しあえる仲間であるか信用できるやつかどうかという人間にとってとても大切なものを軽々しく見ているのです。

非常にドライに付き合うしかないタイプの人間ですね。

これは仕方ないです。

僕も人間なので割り切ってつきあうこともあります。よっぽどないですけど。

でないと、イライラして仕方がありません。

人を大切に思えない人を大切にできるほど僕は人間ができていないのです。

会社に尽くせということではなく、共に働く仲間の存在と自らの置かれている立場というものを見れない人間に心を開く人間がいるのでしょうか？

甚だしい。

ただのヤバいやつでしかないですよね。

今時、こういうのが普通なのでしょうか？？

自分の理解を超えた存在に憤りを感じとともに恐怖にも感じます。

日本の雇用環境は相当やばいところにあると思いますね。

Today’s main topic is about how value perception varies among people, and why it's unnecessary to be fixated on one thing.

"Taking the weekend off."

Our job involves inspecting and maintaining high-pressure gas equipment in factories, so we don’t have weekends off. However, there are times when we need a break for personal reasons like children's events, and we manage to cover for each other during such times.

In today’s world, it’s hard to enforce strict rules, and I encountered a situation where someone from a partner company took two consecutive weekends off, which left me puzzled. So, I wanted to write about it and organize my thoughts.

This was a newbie who had been with the company for less than six months, and we were entering a busy season. I don’t know the exact company policies, but it seemed they were told they could take time off on weekends even if there was work scheduled.

That might be true. According to company regulations, they might be following the rules. They might think they’re cleverly utilizing the system, but to me, they just seem like a self-centered and disappointing person.

Do they think the world revolves around them? Do they think no one else wants weekends off?

Whatever their reasons, if they want to take weekends off, they might be in the wrong industry. It feels like they’re disrespecting both the people and the job.

I’ve had times when I wanted to take weekends off for my kids' events too. But my mindset was to take off only when absolutely necessary and to cover for others at all other times.

I’m not saying my approach is the right one. But is it right to manipulate the system and act on a whim? It feels incredibly short-sighted for someone in this industry.

You can’t trust important work to such a person. "Now" is built on the past, and such attitudes will negatively affect the future. They overlook the crucial aspects of being a reliable and cooperative team member.

Such people can only be dealt with very coldly. There’s no other way. Although it’s rare, sometimes I have to interact with people in a detached manner.

Otherwise, it’s frustrating. I’m not saintly enough to care for those who don’t value others.

I’m not saying one must devote themselves entirely to the company, but can anyone truly open their heart to someone who can’t see the value of their colleagues or their own position? It’s outrageous.

Such individuals are just troublesome. Is this normal nowadays?

I feel both anger and fear towards those who are beyond my understanding. Japan's employment environment is in a dangerous place.

今日の本題です。
価値の感じ方は人それぞれだからこそ一つのものに固執する必要はないという事についてです。

この方法しかない！

このクライアントを逃したら他はない！

と盲目的に物事を考えてしまう時があります。

「この仕事を失注してしまうと他はない。」

と値引きして薄利になってでも受注しようと躍起になってしまうこともあります。

今期は赤字でもいいから。とまるで大企業のような闘い方をしてしまう話もあります。

ですが、僕たちのような小資本の会社がそれをやってしまうと大変なことになります。

いつまでも尾を引いてしまい戦いの傷が癒えず苦しい経営状況になったりします。

強欲に負けず、自分の頭で考えていくにはどうしたらいいか。

冷静になって考えてみましょう。

目先の利益に目を奪われてしまって、大局をみないのはあまり良い手とはいえません。

価値の感じ方は人それぞれ。

売る場所はたくさんあるのです。

買ってくれる人もたくさんいるのです。

そう考えてみたらどうでしょうか。

自分の提供するものに対して、価値を感じる人とそうでない人がいるとしましょう。

価値を感じない人に一生懸命売ろうとしても、商品に価値を感じていないのであれば売るのは相当困難を極めると思います。

ですが、価値を感じている人に買ってもらえるのであればそれでいいわけですし、興味を示してくれた方に時間を使う方がよほど効率的です。

取引はしているけれど自分たちの提供するサービスに価値を感じてもらえているか、それとも数ある中の１つとしてみられているのか、そこを見極めていく必要はあります。

価値を伝える努力は必要ですが、相手がどう感じるかはこちらがどうこうすることは出来ません。

手を施して、時間をかけたとしても、それが必ず良い結果に結びつくとは限りませんから。

ですから、価値を感じていただける方を大切にして、そこへの努力を惜しまず、大切にする。

上得意様ということになります。

その関係性はとても気持ちがいいものとなるはずです。

サービスを受ける側も提供する側もお互いがとても良い関係性であり、よりよいサービスを提供したくなるものと思います。

僕たちのような企業もいわゆるファンの獲得が必要になっているのかもしれません。

仕事しか見られていなかった提供する人がたくさんいた時代から打って変わって、よりよい仕事とサービスと人との関係性まで含めたサービスが求められているのかもしれません。

それはこの先の時代にAIやロボティクスの技術革新が起きて人がやる仕事がどんどんと減っていく中で人として仕事を受けていくための最後の切り札になる様な気がしてなりません。

これができるかできないか、コミュニケーションがとれて人と成が優れた人物であるかどうかや人としての魅力を感じられるかどうかで、一つのものに固執する必要がなくなりより多くの場所へ届けられる可能性が生まれてくるのだと思います。

だからこそ、１つの場所に固執し価格を下げてまで受注する必要は必ずしもないのではないか、と思います。

価値を感じてもらえるような良い仕事やサービスを提供していくことに尽力していきましょう。

Today's main topic is about how the perception of value varies from person to person, and therefore, there's no need to be fixated on one thing.

Sometimes we think, "This is the only way!" or "If we lose this client, there's no one else!" We might get so fixated on not losing a job that we end up offering discounts and accepting thin margins. Some even take the approach of large corporations and say, "It's okay if we're in the red this term."

However, for small-capital companies like ours, this can lead to serious problems. The wounds from such battles can linger, resulting in a strained financial situation.

How can we avoid being overwhelmed by greed and think clearly with our own heads? Let's take a moment to think calmly.

Being distracted by short-term profits and not seeing the bigger picture is not a good strategy. 

The perception of value varies from person to person. There are many places to sell and many people willing to buy. Think about it this way: there are people who see value in what you offer and those who do not.

Trying to sell to someone who doesn't see the value in your product is extremely difficult. But if you find people who do see the value, that's enough, and it's far more efficient to spend your time with those who are interested.

It's important to identify whether your current clients value your services or see them as just one of many options. 

While it’s necessary to make efforts to convey the value, how the other party perceives it is beyond our control. Even if we put in the effort and time, it doesn't always lead to good results.

Therefore, it's crucial to cherish those who appreciate your value, make an effort for them, and treat them well—these are your best clients.

Such relationships should feel very satisfying. Both the service provider and the recipient enjoy a mutually beneficial relationship, leading to a desire to provide even better service.

Companies like ours may need to focus on gaining fans. In a time when services were provided by numerous faceless individuals, the focus is shifting to offering better work, services, and relationships.

As AI and robotics technologies advance and reduce the number of jobs humans need to do, being able to receive work as a person becomes a crucial last card to play. 

Whether we can do this or not, whether we can communicate and be excellent in human interaction, will determine whether we need to fixate on one thing or if we can reach many more places.

Therefore, I believe there's no absolute need to lower prices to secure orders from one place.

Let's strive to provide good work and services that are appreciated for their value.

それをそこまでやる必要があるかどうか？

ということをずっとやってる人っていますよね。

何年目の人かはわかりませんが。。。

そういう人にたまに出会うことがあります。

ステンレスのボルトなどの再利用等でボルトの掃除が必要な時というのがあるのですが、

ずっとのそのそとやっている人がいるとしましょう。

どこまでやっていいかどうかがわからないのか、時間を潰したいのか、言われたからただただやっているやらされ仕事なのか。

どう思って仕事に取り組んでいるかはわかりませんけれど、とにかく３０分以上かけて十数本のボルトを磨いています。

もちろんボルト掃除であっても作業として必要だからやっているので適当でいい、と言いたいわけではありません。

ですがその隣では機器類を組み付けしたり、機器類の目視検査など整備と呼ばれる仕事をしているわけです。

早く終わらせてそちらに入りたい。

新人だから雑用が多めかもしれないけれど僕はそう思いながら仕事をしていました。

でもどうやらそう思う人ばかりではないようです。

何も考えずに仕事や作業をしていると、その日１日の時間が過ぎ、それが３０日経てば給料日がやってきてお金が「貰える」と、そう思うようになっていきます。

時間を潰す、無駄に過ごす、だらだらと仕事をする。

そうやって人生の限りある時間をお金を「貰う」ためだけに使うようになる。

言われたことをやり、自分の考える余地や意見をなくし、ただ誰かがいうことをやるロボットのような人間。

ですが、だらだらやるのでロボットの方がましなわけですよね。

ロボットは黙ってやるし、疲れない。

そういう点では、考えて仕事しない人間はロボット以下ですよね。

でも人は価値を生み出すことができます。

ロボットよりも劇的な速度で進歩したりする。

人間が物事について考えるというだけでその人自身にイノベーションが起きます。

自分に価値を作り、誰かに価値を感じてもらうことができる。

それが人間です。

ロボットはコストがかかります。

それを人間ははるかに安い労力とコストで生み出すことができるのです。

だから、僕はできる限り自分の時間は人間しかやれない仕事に費やせるようにしたいと考えています。

もちろん、作業が必要な時ばかりです。

作業をすることが悪いということではなく、それは仕方がないことなのですが自分の時間を費やしたほうがいいかどうかという判断はできる限りするようにしています。

人がやるべきでない仕事をやらないといけない時はなるべく短時間で効率よく終わらせるようにしましょう。

でないと、時間が本当にもったいないです。

考えて仕事をやらないから、自分の仕事に自信がなくなって、ますます仕事をしなくなってしまいます。

自分の時間がなくなることで疲れてしまいパフォーマンスも落ちると思います。

負のスパイラルです。

どうしたら効率よくできるのか？

どうしたらもっと早く終わらせることができるのか？

これはどういう仕組みなのか？

なぜこの仕事が必要なのか？

それらのことが考えられるようにできればどこまで綺麗にしたらいいのだろうか？

ということは自然と無くなっていくのではないでしょうか？

私たち管理側の落ち度もあると思いますが、もう少しお互いのコミュニケーションも取っていくべきですし、伝えていく必要はあるかと思います。

あなたの時間はなるべく大事なことに使っていきましょうよ。

そうすれば、無くてはならない存在になれるはずです。

あなたにありがとうと感じてもらえる人が増えていくはずです。

仕事にもやりがいを感じ始めると思いますよ。

### Should we really go that far?

Some people keep doing something without questioning its necessity. 

Regardless of how many years they've been working, occasionally, I meet such individuals. 

For example, when it comes to reusing stainless steel bolts, there's a need to clean them. Imagine someone is meticulously cleaning bolts for over thirty minutes. 

It's unclear whether they don't know how thorough to be, are just killing time, or are simply following orders without thinking. 

Of course, cleaning bolts is necessary as a part of the job, but when you see people doing it endlessly, it makes you wonder. Especially when there are other tasks, like assembling equipment or visually inspecting machinery, which seem more pressing. 

I always wanted to finish such mundane tasks quickly and move on to more meaningful work, even though I might have had more minor chores as a newbie. 

But it appears not everyone thinks this way. 

If you work mindlessly, days pass, and in 30 days, you receive a paycheck, feeling like you "earned" it. 

Wasting time, working sluggishly, spending your limited life merely to "get" money. Becoming like a robot that follows orders without thinking. But a robot, at least, works efficiently without getting tired. 

In this way, humans who don't think and work are less efficient than robots. 

However, humans can create value, progress dramatically, and innovate by thinking about things. 

Humans can create value for themselves and be appreciated by others. Robots incur costs, but humans can generate value with far less effort and cost. 

Therefore, I want to spend my time on work that only humans can do. Of course, there are times when tedious tasks are necessary, and I'm not saying doing such tasks is bad. But we should judge if our time is well spent. 

When you must do work that isn't suitable for humans, try to finish it efficiently and quickly. Otherwise, you're wasting precious time. 

Not thinking while working can erode your confidence and make you even less productive. Lack of personal time leads to exhaustion and reduced performance—a vicious cycle. 

How can we work more efficiently? How can we finish faster? How does this work? Why is this task necessary?

Answering these questions can naturally eliminate confusion about how far to go with tasks. 

We in management also have a responsibility. We need to communicate and explain more. 

Let's try to spend our time on essential things. 

This will make you indispensable, appreciated by more people, and find more meaning in your work.

商売をしていると様々なことが起こります。

お仕事に関することでいえば。。。

私たちはメンテナンスサービス業なので定期的なお仕事になりますが、毎年同じようにお仕事をいただけるかというと必ずしもそうではありません。

価格勝負になったりすることもありますし、聞いた話ではミスをしてしまってなくなったりとかもあるそうです。

仕事がなくなってしまうととても焦ってしまいます。

売上減に直結しますからね。

ですが、起きたことは仕方ありません。

仕事はそれしかないわけではありません。

なので、他の仕事へ旅をすればいいのです。

起きたことにいちいち動じていてはいけないと最近思います。

無理な値引きをしたりしてどうしても取りたい気持ちもありますが、やはり無理は無理なので負担が大きいです。なので無理はしてはいけないのです。

死守したい気持ちは痛いほどわかります。

かつての私もそうでした。

人はあったものが失われることを極度に恐れるのでしょうか。

そもそも自分のものではないのです。

その仕事を自分のものだと錯覚してしまう。

本当のところはユーザー様が選ぶ権利があるということです。

当然のように来ると思っているところがやはりおかしいのかもしれません。

ユーザー様に選んでもらえるだけの仕事ができているかということになります。

それができていないと価格競争に巻き込まれて、血みどろの海で生きていくことになるのです。

失ってしまった時、お客様や担当者を恨んでも仕方ありません。

なぜ失ってしまったのか？

それは価格だけではなく、代わりがいないようなそんな仕事をすべきであったということです。

でもそれが難しい場合があります。

競合と足並みを揃えて仕事をしているのでどこも同じような感じになってきてしまいます。

その場合、どこで差をつけるのでしょうか？

それはみんなで考えていかなければなりません。

自分たちの強みは何なのか？

を徹底的に掘り下げていく必要がありそうです。

慌てふためくのではなく、やるべきはこういうことなのかもしれませんね。

When running a business, various things happen.

Regarding work...

Since we are in the maintenance service industry, our jobs are periodic, but it's not guaranteed that we will get the same jobs every year.

Sometimes it comes down to price competition, and I’ve heard that mistakes can cause us to lose jobs.

When work disappears, it’s very stressful.

It directly impacts sales.

However, what has happened is done.

There is not just one job.

So, we should seek other opportunities.

Recently, I’ve been thinking that we shouldn’t be fazed by what happens.

While we may feel the urge to secure a job through unreasonable discounts, it's not sustainable. So, we shouldn’t force ourselves.

I understand the desire to hold on tightly.

I used to be the same.

Perhaps people have an extreme fear of losing what they have.

But it’s not ours in the first place.

We tend to mistakenly believe that the job belongs to us.

In reality, the client has the right to choose.

Assuming jobs will naturally come our way is probably mistaken.

It comes down to whether we’re delivering work that clients choose.

If we’re not, we get caught in price wars, struggling in a brutal competition.

Blaming clients or their representatives when we lose jobs doesn’t help.

Why did we lose the job?

It’s not just about price but about providing irreplaceable work.

Although, this can be challenging.

When competitors offer similar services, everything starts to look the same.

So, how do we differentiate?

That’s something we need to consider together.

We need to thoroughly explore our strengths.

Instead of panicking, this might be what we need to do.

悩みがなさそうな人も案外悩んでいるから悩んでいる自分に落ち込む必要はない Even Those Who Seem Worry-Free Have Their Worries, So There's No Need to Feel Down About Your Own Troubles

「悩みなさそうですね！」

と言われたことがありますが、全然そんなことないですよね。

ありえません。

悩みは誰にでもあります。

尊敬するような人が

「え？！そんなこと悩んでるんですか？」

ということもあったりします。

家庭のことであったり、仕事のことであったり、人間関係であったり。。。

様々なことが人を悩ませています。

人生、順調なことばかりではありません。

時には苦しむこともあります。

だから、悩んでいるのは自分だけではないということです。

ダメな自分を責めたり出来ないことに悩んでしまったりすることはあります。

でも、悩むというよりかは現状を見つめて考えた方がいいと思います。

悩むよりも考える。

どうしたらいい？と考えた方が脳が解決に向かうよう考え始めると思います。

悩んでも物事は解決しません。

とにかく行動しないことには時間が解決してくれるにはあまりにも長すぎると思います。

世の中に完璧な人はいないのです。

完璧な人はいる！

そう思っている人はあなたがそう思っているだけで、その人もよくよく観察してみるとミスや物忘れなどしていたりするものです。

ですから、悩みなどない完璧な人にならなくていい。

それがごく自然な姿です。

気分がどうしようもなく落ち込んでしまう日はありますが、

そういう日は運動してみたりするととても気分がすっきりします。

脳科学的にも２０分以上の有酸素運動はメンタルヘルスにとても効果的なのだとか。

週に２時間以上の有酸素運動を取り入れることでメンタルの健全が保たれやすくなるという結果もありました。

悩みはつきませんが、悩みに殺されてしまう必要はないと思います。

悩みならいくらでも聞いて差し上げます。

人に打ち明ければ幾分かは楽になろうかと思います。

そんなふうに聞くことで誰かのお役に立てれば幸いですね。

I’ve been told, "You seem like you have no worries!" but that's not true at all. It's impossible.

Everyone has worries. Even people we respect might worry about things that surprise us, like "What? You're worried about that?"

Whether it's family issues, work problems, or interpersonal relationships... various things trouble people.

Life isn’t always smooth sailing. Sometimes, it involves suffering.

So, you are not the only one who worries.

There are times when we blame ourselves for being inadequate or worry about things we can't do. But instead of worrying, I think it's better to look at the current situation and think about it. Think rather than worry.

By thinking "What should I do?" your brain will start considering solutions.

Worrying won't solve anything. If you don't take action, waiting for time to solve things will take too long.

There are no perfect people in the world. If you think someone is perfect, it's only because you perceive them that way. If you observe closely, you'll see that they make mistakes or forget things.

So, you don't need to be a perfect person without worries. That's the natural state of being.

There will be days when you feel terribly down. On such days, exercising can really clear your mind.

Neurologically, more than 20 minutes of aerobic exercise is very effective for mental health. Studies have shown that incorporating more than two hours of aerobic exercise per week helps maintain mental well-being.

Worries are endless, but there's no need to let them overwhelm you. I'll be happy to listen to your worries anytime.

Talking to someone can make you feel a bit better. I hope listening to others' worries can be helpful in some way.

資格を取ることよりも大切なこと The Importance Beyond Qualifications

ちょっと真面目な話。

いつも固い話ばかりですがw

高圧ガスの検査業界には様々な資格があります。

高圧ガス保安協会（KHK）の検査員になるのに必要な酸欠作業主任者などの技能講習による主任者になれる資格や客先である充填所や製造所の工場などの保安係員になるために必要な高圧ガス製造保安責任者の各種資格、日本非破壊検査協会の非破壊試験技術者の資格などなど、実作業に関わるものも含めると様々な資格が必要になることがあります。

先日、得意先の企業様に新しく社員さんが入社されました。Mさんとしましょう。

昨日、その方の現場でお会いしていろいろと会話させていただいたのですが、

資格を取らなきゃと少し焦っておられる様子でした。

資格を取れれば携われる業務に関しては増えることは間違いないでしょう。

全く別業種からの転職なので、焦るのも無理はないのかもしれません。

そんな心の焦燥感を少しだけ取り除いてあげたくて少しだけお話させていただいたのです。

資格を取ることよりも大切なことは実務を覚えることだと思いますよ〜。そうでないとMさんは慣れない仕事に毎日毎日心をすり減らすことになりますからとても疲れると思います。

資格よりもとにかく日常の業務に慣れることです。

そうすれば業務に対する負担が減り短時間で終わらせられたり余力を持って終わらせるようになり、時間と体力にも余裕が生まれることになります。

そうすればもし家に帰っても自己研鑽に励むための勉強に取り組めたりそういうことを考える余裕が頭に生まれてくると思います。

３０〜４０代になると本来は仕事に慣れて余裕が生まれるはずですが、そのような年齢で新しい仕事に転職してしまうとそういう恩恵は受けられなくなってしまいます。

ですからとにかくそのような余裕のある環境に自分を置ける様に全振りした方がより良いのではないかと僕は考えるのです。

転職するのが当たり前の世の中なので眼に見えるものである資格にこだわる人もいるのは当然です。もし辞めても残っていくものですからね。

ですが資格を取ったところで、というのはあります。

資格を取っても安全にユニックを操作する気構えや何を持って安全な操作とするかを理解していないことには操作をお任せすることは出来ないかもしれません。

どういった速さで動かすとお客様が安心して見ていてくれるのか？などはやはり現場を経験していかないと感覚的にはわかりませんし、工場によっても注意すべきポイントが違ってきます。

そういった部分は数多く現場に入り、玉掛け作業主任者でそういう吊り作業を共に経験して身についていけばいいと思います。

私たちも入社してから１〜２年で今ほどの知識を得たわけではありませんから、新入社員の方々にそこまでの期待はしていないのが正直なところです。

あなたも同じ様な立場でしたらそのように思うのではないでしょうか？

新人の頃は、見たものに対して経験の掛け算が出来る私たちと圧倒的な差があります。

でも、焦らないでほしいのです。

たくさんのものを見て、たくさんの事例を知って、それらを経験値として貯めてきただけなのです。

だからわからないものに対しても仮説を立ててある程度それらしい答えに近づくことすら出来てくるものです。

きっと今までの職場でもそういうことがやれていたのではないかな？と思います。

とても素直に話を聞いてくれて覚えたいと行動しているので、たとえ同じことを間違えても何度でもそれを教えるつもりです。

体が覚えてくれればすべてのことに対して判断をしなくてもよくなってきます。

体が自然と正解の行動へと導いてくれるので、脳の疲労はグッと抑えられてきます。

資格を取るよりも大切なことは以上のようなことです。

資格を取ることよりも、仲間であるあなたが元気に職場で一緒に働いてくれること。

それがまずは大切なことなのです。

そして、教える側に大切なことは、

何度でも教えること。

「前も言っただろ！」

は絶対に言ってはいけませんからねw

何度でも何度でも教えるのです。

話を聞くのです。

苛立ってしまう人に大切なことは、

「期待をしないこと」

ですね。

これでだいぶイライラすることが減ると思いますよ。

これは子育てにも通ずることだと思っています。

A little serious talk.

It's always serious topics, but haha...

In the high-pressure gas inspection industry, there are various qualifications. There are qualifications such as those required to become an inspector for the High Pressure Gas Safety Association (KHK), such as the skills training required to become a supervisor through courses such as those for oxygen deficiency work supervisors, as well as various qualifications for high-pressure gas manufacturing safety officers required for safety officers at customer sites such as filling stations and manufacturing plants, and qualifications for non-destructive testing technicians from the Japan Non-Destructive Inspection Association. There are various qualifications required, including those related to actual work.

The other day, a new employee joined one of our client companies. Let's call him Mr. M. Yesterday, I met him at his site and had various conversations, and he seemed a little anxious about getting qualifications.

It's certainly true that obtaining qualifications will increase the range of tasks you can handle. Since he's changing careers from a completely different industry, it's understandable that he's feeling anxious.

I wanted to alleviate his sense of anxiety a little, so I talked to him a bit.

I think it's more important to learn the actual work than to get qualifications. Otherwise, Mr. M will tire himself out every day with work he's not used to.

Getting used to the daily tasks is more important than getting qualifications. If you do, the burden of work will decrease, you'll be able to finish tasks in a shorter time or with extra energy, and you'll have more time and energy.

Then you'll have the mental space to focus on self-improvement when you get home.

When you're in your 30s or 40s, you should naturally get used to your work and gain some breathing room, but if you change jobs at that age, you might miss out on those benefits.

So I think it's best to throw yourself into an environment where you can have that kind of breathing room.

In today's world, changing jobs is the norm, so it's natural for some people to focus on visible qualifications. Because they'll remain even if they leave.

However, there's a saying, even if you get qualifications.

Without understanding the attitude needed to operate a UNIC crane safely or what constitutes safe operation, you may not be able to delegate operation even if you have qualifications. You won't have a sense of how fast you should move to reassure customers, and different factories have different points to be aware of.

You need to gain a lot of experience on-site, experience hoisting operations together as a crane operation supervisor, and gain that understanding.

We didn't gain as much knowledge in our first 1-2 years after joining the company, so to be honest, we don't expect new employees to have that much knowledge. You might feel the same if you were in the same position, wouldn't you?

When you're a newcomer, there's a huge difference between us, who can multiply our experience with what we see, and you. But don't rush it. By seeing a lot, knowing a lot of cases, and accumulating them as experience points, you'll be able to come up with hypotheses and get closer to plausible answers. You've probably been able to do that at your previous job, right?

He listens very obediently and is eager to learn, so I'm planning to teach him the same thing even if he makes the same mistake multiple times. Once your body remembers it, you won't have to judge everything, and your body will naturally lead you to the correct actions, reducing mental fatigue.

Above all, what's more important than getting qualifications is that you, our colleague, work energetically and healthily in the workplace. That's the most important thing.

And, what's important for those teaching is to teach repeatedly.

"Didn't I tell you before?!" should never be said, haha... Teach as many times as necessary. Listen.

For those who get irritated easily, what's important is not to expect too much. This will greatly reduce irritation, I think.

I think this applies to parenting as well.
