Hello. I’m Yasui, the president of a one-person company primarily engaged in inspections of high-pressure gas facilities.
Every day is a learning experience.
And even though deadlines are approaching, the direction is still not fully set.
I’m searching for something better—something more refined.
There are many things you simply don’t understand until you actually start moving.
I believe that if there is a team you can trust, and if that team functions with solid teamwork, then good work can be done, and people can genuinely care for one another.
That said, trust is not something that can be built easily.
You have to firmly attach the core of trust to the other person and then carefully build around it—otherwise, it simply won’t take shape.
Which means, first and foremost, it has to start with yourself.
Because they are your teammates, if you lie or hide things and those actions are discovered later, trust and credibility are lost in an instant.
Once someone has lied, it becomes impossible to defend them—even if you want to.
Being honest and communicating the truth and the real situation to those around you is absolutely essential when it comes to work relationships.
Trust and credibility that are built little by little can be lost in a moment.
It’s much like credit information—miss a single payment, and your credit score drops.
Raising trust requires simply not making mistakes like that, yet the conditions for losing it are all around us.
This applies not only to work relationships but also to trust within families.
Leaving things unattended for too long and then trying to recover later is, frankly, very difficult.
In some ways, it feels even harder than rebuilding trust at work.
Let’s take care of the people around us as we live our lives.
Thank you very much for reading.
See you again!
