賭博黙示録カイジは福本伸行先生作の有名な賭博漫画です。
そのアニメ版が逆境無頼カイジです。
限定じゃんけん、Eカード、パチンコ「沼」など様々なギャンブルが登場しますが、僕が好きなのは鉄骨渡りです。
簡単に説明しますと、鉄骨渡りでは、ビルの間に渡された鉄骨の上をわたっていきます。
落ちれば確実に死ぬ高さの鉄骨を渡ったら、もらったチケットとそこに書かれた金額分の現金を手に入れられます。
恐れる自分を奮い立たせていざ渡り始めるわけですが、落ちた仲間を見て、生きたい！という気持ちが溢れ出し許しを請うことに。
死の間際になって、生きたいと、借金まみれで自堕落な生き方をしていた自分が心から「生きていたい！」と思うことになります。
死の間際では人を蹴落とすことをしない。
全員で渡り切る！全員で生きてここから帰る！と恐れからくる幻影を見てしまった仲間たちを励まし、正気に戻そうと必死になっていきます。

普段、生活をしていると自分の命は永遠に思えてきます。
話の最初の方では１０００万、２０００万という割と現実的な金額を手に入れるチャンスがやってきますが、この金額はこのギャンブルの場にいるものが一生かかっても目にすることのない金額であり、エリートが３０歳４０歳になった頃に貯められる金額だと説明されています。
人は、本来は限られているものなのに普段の生活では永遠とも思える「命の時間」を削って、シゴトをしお金を得ているわけです。
どんな人も労働している以上は命を削っているといっていい。
本質はそこにあります。
エリートが競争を勝ち抜き、社会でも遅くまで働きようやく手にする大金。
自堕落な生活をしてきた者たちがそれを一夜で手にするには、命をかける必要がある。
命が限られている上では。生きている上では。
いずれ死ぬということは常に隣り合わせでいるということを認識していないといけません。
ですから命を削って得たお金に対して無駄にしていいお金というものは無いと思います。
命は燃やす。生きていればどんな人でも自然と燃えていってしまいます。
お金を大切にする。
お金は天下の周り物なので、ケチれ！ということでは言いたいのではありません。
使い方を考える。
お金がお金を生む仕組みを使って、僕たちの限られた命の時間を少しでもお金を得る為だけの活動から開放してあげたい。

Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor, created by Nobuyuki Fukumoto, is a famous gambling manga. Its anime adaptation is known as "Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor."
It features various gambling scenarios like Limited Rock-Paper-Scissors, E-Card, and the Pachinko "Swamp," but my favorite is the Steel Beam Crossing.
In simple terms, Steel Beam Crossing involves traversing steel beams placed between buildings. If you manage to cross beams at a height where falling guarantees death, you receive a ticket and cash equivalent to the amount written on it. As you begin the crossing, overcoming your fear and seeing fallen comrades, the desire to live overwhelms you, leading to seeking forgiveness.
At the brink of death, you sincerely realize your desire to live, despite previously living a life indulging in debts and self-indulgence.
At the edge of death, you refrain from pushing others down. You encourage and desperately try to restore sanity to comrades who succumb to fear, aiming for everyone to cross together and return alive.

In daily life, we often perceive our lives as eternal. At the beginning of the story, there are opportunities to win relatively realistic sums like 10 or 20 million yen. However, these amounts represent what one may never see in their lifetime, an amount that an elite may accumulate by the time they reach their 30s or 40s.
Despite our lives being finite, in our daily lives, we sacrifice the seemingly eternal "time of life" by working to earn money.
Everyone sacrifices their lives through labor. That's the essence.
Elites compete and work late into society to finally earn a large sum. Those who have lived indulgently need to risk their lives to obtain it overnight.
Recognizing that death is always nearby is crucial in life. Hence, I believe there's no such thing as money that can be wasted when earned through sacrificing life.
Life is spent. Everyone naturally burns through it as they live. Cherish money. Money is a worldly possession, so I'm not saying be stingy!
Consider how to use it. By utilizing the mechanism of money generating money, let's liberate ourselves from activities solely aimed at earning money with our limited time of life.
