Hello, I’m Yasui, president of a company that mainly conducts inspections of high-pressure gas facilities.
I was just working on it until a moment ago, but I need to finish a lot of administrative work this weekend.
There are still many things that haven’t been done. One by one, I have to complete them. But living in a constant state of chasing tasks isn’t a very good situation.
Now then—when something happens completely out of the blue, how should we deal with it?
Whether it’s an accident or something caused by people, sometimes events occur suddenly that are simply beyond our control.
Even when a major change happens—or when we ourselves are the ones causing that change—things rarely go exactly according to plan.
In reality, things almost never proceed perfectly as planned.
So when something unexpected happens, the people involved have to come together and think about how to deal with it.
In this particular case, I fully understand that I bear responsibility. Knowing that, I contacted various people and explained the situation, and it seems we may somehow be able to work things out.
No one ever wants something sudden like this to happen.
But it reminded me that these things do happen in life.
At the same time, it was also a moment when I felt the kindness of others.
People cooperated and offered their help.
Of course, I understand very well that what happened was not good. As someone directly involved, I take that seriously.
But I’m truly grateful to have people around me who are willing to think together about how to deal with what has happened.
Don’t push yourself too hard.
Don’t try to stretch beyond your limits.
Maybe it’s better to leave a little margin of safety in everything we do.
When people face a problem together, they can unite and move forward.
The strength that appears when people try to overcome a crisis together is something that should not be underestimated.
Thank you very much for reading to the end!
See you next time!
