Do you prefer being busy, or do you enjoy having more free time?
People differ in their preferences, but for me, transitioning from a "busy" lifestyle to one with "more free time" ended up negatively impacting my mental health.
Physically, there’s no issue, but mentally, it’s hard to bear.
Perhaps I'm just not good at managing my time.
Even when I finally have time for things I wanted to do, I often find myself not doing them.
Reading books?
Studying?
Spending leisurely time with family?
Taking on new work?
Even if I have free time, I can't always be sure it’s used meaningfully or that it contributes positively to myself or those around me.
Oddly, I feel that the time I carve out while being busy is spent more intentionally.
When you're busy, you cherish the time you have.
Limited time.
Thinking, "I might not get to spend my time like this again tomorrow," makes each moment feel precious—that’s human nature, isn’t it?
The value of time created amidst busyness feels rich, like an intensely flavored juice—deeply satisfying.
On the other hand, life and time feel infinite when we take them for granted, which leads us to waste them on trivial matters, squandering what could be meaningful moments.
We put things off to tomorrow or next week because we assume we’ll still be here then.
But what if we cherished today as if there were no guarantees for tomorrow?
Whether being busy or having more free time suits you depends on the person.
Everyone has their own rhythm and way of using their time.
As for me, I prefer staying busy.
How about you?
See you again soon!
